Top Five Dance Rehearsal Must Haves

Concert season is on it’s way!

Now that our 2021 concerts will be going ahead in November and December, it’s time to start thinking about preparing for any rehearsals that will be happening this month and next.

Here are five essentials for thriving through end-of-year concert rehearsals!

  1. Snacks and plenty of water and fluids – pack plenty of water and snacks to fuel you throughout the day. Pack snacks that are easy to grab and go and won’t be messy, risking getting on any costumes.
  2. Extra hair accessories (bobby pins, hair ties) – make sure before leaving home that the hair is firmly secured with lots of hair ties and plenty of hair spray, but it’s always a good idea to pack some back up bobby pins and hair ties in case of emergency.
  3. First aid kit/sewing kit – it can be helpful to pack a few survival items like bandaids as well as some safety pins for any costume mishaps.
  4. Lipstick and touch up makeup – ensure make up is already done by arrival for any rehearsals requiring makeup, however still pack touch up items like lipstick, face powder and blush.
  5. Something to do while waiting – like mad libs, or a book to read, or a phone charger (for students who have a phone) just be sure not to send your child with any textas for colouring in, as this could accidentally get on their costumes.

We are so excited to be getting to do our concert rehearsals this year! More information about times of rehearsals will be available as soon as possible.
