What is Musical Theatre all about?

Broadway dance or musical theatre dance is a creative and expressive style suited to dancers who love to play a character through their movements. 

Even if we don’t all make it to Broadway, this style is still a great way to play a part for a moment, keep fit, and besides that it’s just a whole lot of fun if you’re a fan of broadway music.

This style can be identified by its use of songs from broadway shows and musicals and the movement is characterised by its movement mimicking song lyrics to “act out” the story of the song. Usually bold and large, these movements are a fun escape from reality for imaginative and passionate dancers.

Dance Factor offers musical theatre classes to our competition students currently. We also offer private lessons which can cater to broadway and musical theatre dance.
