Welcome to the FINALE: Term 4!

Welcome to Term 4! The true FINALE of our dance year! 

This is the most exciting term of all, where months of hard work, growth, and dedication come to life on stage in our end of year shows. With so much happening, we want to make sure every dancer feels confident, supported, and ready to shine. Here’s how to get the most out of this final term.

1. Show up and stay consistent

Term 4 is full of choreography, positioning, staging and final polish. Every class counts! Try to attend every session so you don’t miss:

• Key sections of group routines
• Final costume fittings and notes
• Blocking, lighting cues, and rehearsal run-throughs

*Tip: Mark your rehearsal and show dates on your calendar now!*

2. Embrace Performance Energy

Performing is about more than steps… It’s about expression, storytelling, and connection. Encourage your dancer to:

• Practice with feeling, not just precision
• Watch themselves in the mirror and learn how they present
• Get comfortable smiling and using stage presence

 *Parents: cheer them on at home when they practice – it makes a big difference!*

3. Stay Organised

With costumes, rehearsals, show times, and more, it helps to keep everything in one place. We recommend:

• Creating a concert checklist
• Labeling all costume pieces and accessories
• Start preparing a ‘concert bag’ ready with all essentials such as bobby pins, safety pins, makeup, dance shoes, hair essentials… Anything your dancer may need!

 *Don’t forget water bottles, extra hair ties, and a healthy snack!*

 4. Capture the Moments

Term 4 is full of memories, make sure to:

• Take behind the scenes photos (when allowed!)
• Encourage your dancer to keep a little journal or reflection sheet
• Share your favourite moments with us on socials! Tag us @dancefactor

5. Celebrate Progress, Not Just Perfection

Every dancer’s journey is unique. Whether it’s their first time on stage or their final recital with us, take time to celebrate:

• Confidence gained
• Friendships formed
• Skills and discipline developed throughout the year
• Celebrate with us at our PRESENTATION DAY (Monday 15th December 2025)
