How to best prepare your dancer for the new year
As we head into the new dance year, now is the time to start preparing and planning. Over the large break, you may find that your dancer has grown out of all their shoes and apparel. Fortunately we stock all the essentials you need to have your dancer ready to go!
Here are just 3 tips to best prepare your dancer for the year:
- Uniform: When you get the chance, try your dancers uniform on to ensure it’s a satisfactory fit for them to move practically in for class. This tip also goes for their shoes! The fit of a dancer’s shoe is very important, whether it’s a jazz shoe, tap shoe or ballet shoe. Fortunately we have sizes galore in both our studio apparel and footwear, please come see our team here at the studio for your personal uniform fitting.
- Dance Bag: At the end of every year after concert time, we know how messy a bag can get! Give their bag a good clean out, see what needs replenishing and pack it with their new/current footwear ready for class. Ensure your dancer has a practical drink bottle ready to go for class, hydration is key! Dance Factor proudly stocks the perfect dance bag and drink bottle with optional personalisation for your dancer to rep. Contact our team for more information about our merch.
- Stretching & Cardio: After a long break from dance, the body can quickly adapt to doing less strenuous movement and of course drop in cardio. Don’t forget to be stretching every single day to maintain mobility, flexibility and strength! As well as this, any form of cardio like a walk, playing outdoor games or even doing some daily impro dance is great for fitness levels. All of this can greatly assist in a smooth transition back into classes.
After such a successful year of dance in 2024, we can’t wait to see whats in store for each of our dancers in 2025!
