5 things to bring in your bag for dance class
There are so many benefits to taking dance classes and young dancers learning to organise themselves is just one of them.
Part of being a dancer is getting into a healthy weekly routine of packing and unpacking a dance bag after class.
Here are some ideas on what to ensure your dancer is remembering to pack each week:
- Required shoes. Make sure you come to the Dance Factor reception to get your shoes fitted whether it’s for ballet, jazz, tap or more. Keep them safe in your bag until you get into the studio – don’t wear them from the car park.
- Hair bands and pins should be in your bag to keep your hair neat and secured. A hairbrush may be useful for ballerinas who need to change hair in or out of a bun during dancing.
- Back up shirt or leotard. If you have multiple uniforms it might be a good idea to keep a spare shirt on hand in case of spills or if you forget your uniform for those dancers who come straight from school.
- Snacks. Keep quick to eat and nutritious snacks for break times to boost energy during training and don’t forget plenty of water so you don’t run out.
- Towel. It might be handy for some dancers to keep a towel in their bag especially during summer and warm weather.
