5 Good Traits of Dancers
Dancers learn a variety of skills in class, but also pick up many good traits while in the studio, which can assist them later in life in whatever they choose to do.
Some of these good traits include:
- Motivation. Dancers have to be motivated! Dance requires an open mind and a keen attitude to get involved.
- Determination. To learn a skill, dancers must practise over months and years, teaching skills in learning long term.
- Enthusiasm. Many dancers are part of a team and require a positive attitude to keep up the morale and positive attitude of their friends.
- Open-minded. Like any art, dancers are learning skills and techniques often outside of their comfort zone. It takes an open mind to feel afraid, and still try anyway.
- Spatial awareness. An underrated trait dancers share is an awareness of their body in space, and in relation to others. This is a skill which can translate to social scenarios.
